About the role

As a Part-Time CFO with Rossenrode Partners, you will act as a trusted adviser to business owners and leadership teams, bringing clarity to their financial position and helping them make better decisions about cash, profitability and growth. Engagements range from a two-day Finance Health Check to ongoing retainers of up to four days per week, delivered through a combination of on-site and remote working.

What you'll do

- Assess the financial health of client businesses and set out clear, prioritised recommendations

- Produce and interpret management accounts, cash flow forecasts and budgets

- Analyse margins by product, service, client or project, and identify opportunities to improve profitability

- Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and month-end discipline

- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, auditors and external accountants

- Support owners through key decisions, including financing, pricing, investment and growth planning

- Oversee and develop existing bookkeeping or finance staff where appropriate

What you'll bring

- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent), ACCA or CIMA, with current membership in good standing

- Proven experience as the most senior finance professional in a business with turnover of £2 million to £50 million

- Experience within one or more of our focus sectors

- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to translate financial information into practical action for non-finance audiences

- A hands-on approach, and comfort working with owner-managed businesses at pace

- Your own limited company, together with professional indemnity insurance and anti-money laundering supervision, or a willingness to put these in place

What we offer

- Day rates of £525 to £656, representing 75% of the client fee, with higher rates on shorter engagements

- Payment within seven days of client settlement
