Salary range: up to 85 USD/h (negotiable) Engagement: 0.7 Working Hours: ET Start date: end of September 2026 Project duration: 4 months Proven experience architecting TypeScript monorepos (Nx or Turborepo) at production scale Deep experience with Next.js and Node.js service design Strong PostgreSQL data modeling experience, ideally with financial or ledger-style data (transactional integrity, auditability, state machines) Hands-on experience designing security and compliance into an architecture — RBAC/MFA, immutable audit trails, data residency/segregation — rather than bolting on controls after the fact Working familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and/or the EU Data Act (or comparable regulatory frameworks), with the ability to translate compliance requirements into concrete architectural decisions Demonstrated ability to design data isolation/segregation architectures for systems that combine sensitive persisted data with AI or third-party processing — this is the single most important skill for the role, and we will test for it directly rather than assume it from a title Nice to have Prior architecture experience in fintech or another regulated domain (healthtech, insurtech, etc.) Cloud-agnostic Infrastructure-as-Code fluency (Terraform or similar) to keep a three-environment setup vendor-neutral Experience working alongside a security-focused PM or compliance function from the Discovery phase onward In return, we offer: 100% remote, flexible work.
