Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Fraud Team administrator to work a Hybrid from our Oyster Point office, located in Newport News, VA.

The Administrator is an entry-level role that provides foundational experience in multiple team functions within the Fraud and BSA/AML department. This position supports all aspects of the BSA and Fraud Department, serving as a primary contact for internal and external communications. The Administrator supports team operations by handling security footage investigations, managing correspondence, and performing essential tasks to ensure team efficiency and compliance.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and manages investigations related to security camera footage.
  • Serves as the primary contact for phone, email (Outlook triage of all inboxes), and regular mail communication.
  • Receives and distributes NCUA complaints to appropriate team members.
  • Creates and distributes Reg E letters in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as a proxy for Analyst roles within the team to promote efficiency and support team operations.
  • Assists in the intake, triage, and distribution of work items and tasks.
  • Actively participates in team meetings and collaborative channels to ensure operational alignment and adherence to departmental goals.
  • Trains in BSA/AML and Fraud operations across multiple systems.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of LFCU products and services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a financial institution in an operational or member facing position required.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field or relevant coursework in business, finance, or criminal justice preferred.
  • Completion of or active pursuit of relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner, VISA certifications, or other fraud-prevention credentials). Certifications must be earned within 6 months of hire into the position if not already in place.
  • Proficient in analyzing data across multiple systems.
