Freelance Event Operations Associate (Student Opportunity)

THE ROLE Are you looking for a flexible free-lance (part-time) remote opportunity that can be managed around your studies? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you, supporting our digital conferences as an Event Operation Associate. We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and who aren't afraid to take charge and ask questions. We here at Morressier are reinventing how people engage and interact with early-stage research, and an integral part of this mission are the virtual events we run on our platform. As an Event Operations Associate, you will be helping to manage these intensive and highly immersive experiences, by both leading training in the build-up to the event and also monitoring the sessions for the event itself. Responsibilities: • Providing live support for virtual events, primarily via the Morressier livestream platform, but also via text & email • Troubleshooting users' technical setups, ensuring they function correctly • Providing guidance on the features & functions of the platform • Communicating cross-functionally within the company to resolve issues as they arise • Delivering training sessions & dress rehearsals for users BENEFITS • Hourly Pay with regular events requiring support from our freelancers • Great opportunity to learn and gain experience of working with a growing start-up • The ability to work remotely • Working at the heart of a passionate, impact-driven team from around the world • A chance to do meaningful work and further our vision of accelerating scientific breakthroughs and global innovation REQUIREMENTS • Any previous experience of live events would be advantageous • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides) • Quick learner, curious with strong analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Results-oriented, attentive to detail, ability to prioritize multiple objectives • Ability to work independently • Flexibility to work late evenings, as conference schedules will vary by time zone • Works well under pressure in a live conference context • Professional proficiency in English a must, additional languages a plus You must be available for an immediate start
