Freelance Motion Designer & Video Editor

Collateral Partners is a brand and communications firm. We're building a small, carefully chosen roster of freelance motion designers and editors we can call on when projects land.

Please note, this isn't a live vacancy. We're opening applications to build the bench ahead of demand, so that when work comes through we're reaching out to people we already know and trust. We're keeping the pool deliberately smaller.

The kind of work

Brand and marketing video for our clients. Think story-led pieces built from existing footage, animated graphics and stats sequences, montage work, event films and social cutdowns. Briefs are usually clear, turnarounds are usually tight, and the quality bar is high.

We're looking for

• Strong motion design work in a brand or marketing context, with a reel to show it
• Editing ability alongside it. Comfortable cutting a story, not just animating over someone else's cut
• Confident with music, sound design and pacing
• Fluent in After Effects and Premiere Pro, or equivalents you're genuinely fast in
• Able to work independently from a brief and hit deadlines without chasing
• Available for project work with some notice, and responsive during US business hours

Nice to have

• 3D or Cinema 4D
• Experience with UGC and creator-generated footage
• Corporate event or conference film experience

Fully remote, project-based freelance contracts, paid at freelance rates. We'll ask for your rate up front so we're not wasting your time later.
