Freelance Project Manager - Service Tooling Implementation

Help build the service foundation behind Europe's fastest-growing battery fleet At Greener, we're on a mission to make temporary energy emission-free. As our fleet continues to grow across Europe, so does the complexity of supporting our customers, engineers, and assets. To support that growth, we're transforming the software landscape that powers our Service organization. We're looking for an experienced freelance Project Manager to lead the selection and implementation of the platforms that will support customer support, field service operations, preventative maintenance, asset management, and service delivery across Europe. This is not a blank-sheet project. A part of the groundwork has already been completed, including requirements gathering, software vision, supplier longlists, evaluation criteria, and initial vendor assessments. Your role is to take ownership of the next phase: turning preparation into decisions, implementation, and results. Power up our service operations You'll be responsible for leading the selection and initial implementation of two key platforms: Customer Support Platform Supporting ticket management, customer communication, collaboration, SLA tracking, reporting, and knowledge management. Field Service Platform Supporting engineer planning, work orders, inspections, preventative maintenance, asset management, and field reporting. Working closely with stakeholders from Service, Operations, Product, Finance, Procurement, and Legal, you'll ensure we select the right solutions and successfully move into implementation. It's your mission to create a scalable, future-proof service software landscape that enables Greener to continue growing across Europe. What you'll be doing Review and challenge the existing software vision, requirements, scoring model, and supplier shortlist. Organize and lead vendor demonstrations and evaluation sessions. Align stakeholders across multiple departments and build consensus around key decisions. Assess vendors on functional fit, technical fit, integrations, implementation approach, supplier quality, and total cost of ownership. Identify integration requirements and dependencies with Greener's existing systems. Coordinate supplier due diligence, contract reviews, and commercial negotiations together with Procurement. Prepare business cases, budgets, recommendations, and approval documentation. Define implementation scope, governance, responsibilities, risks, and planning. Drive implementation together with internal stakeholders and selected vendors. Keep decision-making, documentation, risks, actions, and progress reporting structured and transparent. What success looks like By the end of this assignment: Preferred suppliers have been selected and contracted. Internal approvals and budgets have been secured. Implementation plans and governance structures are in place. Key integrations and dependencies have been identified and scoped. Platform implementation has started with clear ownership and priorities. Service teams have a strong foundation to continue building and optimizing the future service landscape. Ultimately, your work will enable Greener's teams to deliver faster support, better service visibility, and more efficient operations as we continue to scale. Who are you? You're someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex projects and turning plans into action. You know how to balance business requirements, technical realities, and stakeholder expectations without losing momentum. You'll likely bring: Experience leading software selection and implementation projects. A strong understanding of SaaS platforms and business software ecosystems. Experience managing both business and technical stakeholders. Confidence in vendor management, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations. A structured approach to project management, governance, and decision-making. Excellent communication skills and the ability to align diverse stakeholders. A pragmatic, hands-on mindset with a focus on delivering tangible outcomes. Experience within customer support, field service management, CMMS, asset management, or service operations software is a strong plus. Why this project?
