About AMBOSS We are a medical education and clinical support platform dedicated to empowering healthcare professionals worldwide to deliver the best possible care. Since starting as a small team in Germany, AMBOSS has grown to over 600 team members with offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari. In 2017, AMBOSS entered the U.S. medical education market as a resource for medical students preparing for USMLE and shelf exams. Since then, we have expanded to include point-of-care clinical support and board exam preparation across multiple specialties. We are now expanding our residency board preparation into additional specialties and are seeking physician experts to review specialty-specific educational content. Position Summary: We are seeking a practicing board-certified physician in Obstetrics & Gynecology for a remote, freelance contract position. You will help prioritize high-yield board topics, map content to the ABOG initial certification examination blueprint, and develop standardized criteria to evaluate board-style questions. You will then apply those criteria to review AI-generated ABOG-style Qbank content that has already undergone physician editor review. You may also have opportunities to provide specialty guidance to multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Marketing, AI, Product, and User Research), helping shape the development of medical education and the responsible use of AI in medical education. This role offers the opportunity to complement your clinical practice with meaningful, high-impact nonclinical work while enjoying flexible working hours. Your will: Map clinical content to specialty board blueprints. Develop a rubric (i.e., standardized evaluation criteria) to assess ABOG-style Qbank questions. Review AI-generated medical content for accuracy, educational quality, and alignment with the ABOG initial certification examination. Identify content gaps on the platform to inform future content development. Provide specialty-specific clinical expertise to multidisciplinary teams (e.g., marketing, product, and user research). You bring: Medical degree (MD/DO) Completed OB-GYN residency training in the US ABOG board-certified with active or recent US clinical practice Strong understanding of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice Excellent clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and written communication skills Sound judgment in prioritizing clinically meaningful feedback over minor editorial details Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines in a remote environment Preferred qualifications (not required): Recent experience with the ABOG initial board certification examination Experience in medical education, content review/editing, or AI/LLM applications You enjoy: Flexible, asynchronous work: Contribute your expertise on your own schedule. Direct impact: Knowing your feedback immediately improves the safety and quality of a board exam preparation tool used by anesthesiology trainees Clinical education: Sharing your specialty knowledge to help non-specialists and an AI-assisted content pipeline understand the nuances of anesthesia practice Location : Fully remote Schedule : Flexible and project-based, with agreed-upon turnaround times Compensation : $100-120/hr, Start date : As soon as possible We believe that diversity is a powerful driver of innovation and progress. That’s why we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment where everyone—regardless of gender, age, ethnic or cultural background, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity—is valued and given equal opportunity to thrive. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds to help us fulfil our mission: empowering all medical professionals to provide the best possible care!
