Freelance UX Writer

UX Writer (Remote) | 6-Month Independent Contract

We're looking for an experienced UX Writer to join a high-performing product team and help create clear, engaging, and user-centered experiences across digital products.

As the voice of the product, you will craft and optimize content that guides users through their journey, ensuring consistency, clarity, and trust across every touchpoint. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Researchers, and Localization teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of UX copy, from creation and iteration through localization and performance measurement.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging content for product experiences, features, customer journeys, emails, and conversational interfaces.
• Create copy that is scalable across multiple languages and markets, considering translation, cultural, and technical requirements.
• Develop messaging that supports user needs while aligning with product and business objectives.
• Use user research, analytics, and performance data to inform content decisions and improve experiences.
• Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and messaging across all platforms and channels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Engineering, Research, and Localization.
• Contribute to and uphold content standards, editorial guidelines, and UX writing best practices.
• Measure the effectiveness of copy and translate insights into actionable improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in UX Writing, Content Design, Content Strategy, or a related field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills across digital products and platforms.
• Experience creating user-focused content informed by research and data.
• Strong understanding of customer journeys, product flows, and content strategy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable using content management, design, and analytics tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
