Freight Agent Recruiter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and strategic Freight Agent Recruiter with experience in the 3PL, freight brokerage, or logistics industry. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding independent freight agents to join our growing agent network. The ideal candidate understands the independent agent model, is highly organized, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This individual will play a key role in expanding our agent network by sourcing qualified professionals and guiding them through the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify prospective independent freight agents within the 3PL, freight

brokerage, and logistics industries

• Engage experienced logistics professionals to evaluate alignment with our independent

agent program

• Conduct introductory calls to assess candidate business experience, book of business, and

fit for an independent contractor relationship

• Clearly communicate the structure, expectations, and benefits of operating as an

independent freight agent within our network

• Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospective agents using CRM systems

• Utilize sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and industry networks

• Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for approved agents

• Maintain consistent communication with prospective agents throughout the onboarding

lifecycle

• Track recruiting activity, pipeline metrics, and onboarding progress

• Partner with leadership to refine agent recruiting strategy and target profiles

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of recruiting experience within the 3PL, freight brokerage, or logistics industry

• Experience sourcing or working with freight agents or independent contractors is strongly

preferred

• Proven ability to identify and engage experienced logistics professionals

• Strong understanding of the freight brokerage or agent-based business model

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing network within the logistics or freight brokerage industry

• Experience recruiting for commission-based or independent contractor roles

• Familiarity with agent-based brokerage models
