About Passport Global

Passport Global's unique combination of technology, logistics, and expertise helps brands simplify global commerce and boost international growth.

Uniquely positioned as a partner that goes beyond traditional carriers and outsourcers, we combine innovative technology with in-house logistics and industry expertise. Our approach is to provide world-class services, empowering brands to grow while maintaining control over their stores, data, and cash flow.

About the Role

Passport's In-Country Operations team is organized into three areas: Marketplace Management & B2B, Freight Management, and 3PL. This role sits on the Freight Management side, moving client inventory from the factory to the warehouse.

You'll manage freight for Passport Global's client brands end to end: from supplier pickup, through customs clearance, to delivery and receipt at the warehouse. That means requesting and comparing quotes across air, ocean, and ground, booking the best option, getting the paperwork right before cargo moves (packing lists, commercial invoices, Incoterms, HS codes, country of origin), and keeping clients updated on where their shipments are and what's delayed.

The role also covers the money side of freight. Each month you'll prepare expense reports for clients covering warehouse costs, inbound and outbound freight, and products Passport sources for them, and you'll audit 3PL and freight charges to catch billing errors and recover credits. It suits someone who's highly organized, can keep many shipments and deadlines moving at once, and follows up with manufacturers, forwarders, brokers, and warehouses until every open item is closed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage international air, ocean, and ground shipments from supplier pickup through customs clearance, delivery, and warehouse receipt
  • Request and compare freight quotes, recommend routing based on cost and transit time, and book approved shipments
  • Coordinate cargo-ready dates, pickups, product and carton label approvals, and delivery appointments with manufacturers, carriers, and warehouses
  • Prepare and review packing lists and commercial invoices; verify consignee details, addresses, Incoterms, HS codes, and country of origin
  • Coordinate customs clearance and review entry summaries
  • Track shipments, keep client-facing trackers current, communicate status and delays, and resolve shipment exceptions
  • Manage bookings, shipment milestones, and warehouse receiving in TMS and WMS platforms; keep shipment records accurate
  • Prepare monthly client expense reports covering warehouse costs, inbound and outbound freight, and products sourced by Passport
  • Audit 3PL and freight charges, resolve billing discrepancies, and coordinate credits
  • Identify service and cost improvements across shipments and partners

Requirements

  • Experience managing international freight shipments end to end across multiple modes (air, ocean, ground)
  • Strong knowledge of freight operations, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs clearance processes
  • Hands-on experience with TMS and WMS platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization; able to manage multiple shipments and deadlines at once
  • Reliable follow-through: you chase open items with suppliers, forwarders, brokers, and warehouses until they're closed
  • Clear communicator who coordinates effectively with clients, manufacturers, forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouses
  • Analytical and proactive problem-solver
  • Full professional English (written and spoken); native or fluent Spanish
  • Based in Mexico, within easy reach of a major airport. The team gets together in person every so often, and you may need to fly for those gatherings.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Proactive use of AI tools to work faster
  • Background in e-commerce / D2C brands
