Frontend Engineer | $90/hr

Hirely is recruiting on behalf of one of the trusted hiring partner, an experienced Frontend Engineers for an AI evaluation project focused on assessing AI-generated frontend code. You'll review real web pages and compare multiple AI-generated implementations based on visual accuracy, code quality, responsiveness, and technical structure. This opportunity is particularly suited to experienced web developers who have strong hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser DevTools, and modern frontend development.

What You'll Do:

• Review reference websites and AI-generated frontend implementations locally.
• Compare implementations for visual fidelity, layout, typography, spacing, colors, and responsiveness.
• Inspect HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to evaluate the underlying implementation quality.
• Identify issues such as incorrect positioning, hardcoded layouts, broken responsiveness, and poor code structure.
• Test websites at different viewport sizes and interact with different page states.
• Use browser DevTools and local development environments to investigate implementation details.
• Provide clear, specific, evidence-based evaluations explaining why one implementation is stronger than another.
• Identify potential issues or defects in evaluation tasks and apply project guidelines consistently.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-8 years of professional web development experience, primarily in frontend or full-stack development.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
• Good understanding of Flexbox, Grid, media queries, and semantic HTML.
• Comfortable using browser DevTools to inspect DOM elements and computed styles.
• Ability to run and troubleshoot websites in a local development environment.
• Familiarity with command-line tools and basic local web servers.
• Ability to read and understand JavaScript and frontend source code.
• Strong written English and ability to provide detailed technical explanations.
• Excellent attention to detail and visual judgment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React or other frontend frameworks.
• Experience with pixel-perfect implementation or design-to-code work.
• Previous experience in AI evaluation, RLHF, preference labeling, or code review.
• Experience with web scraping, DOM parsing, or legacy websites.
• Knowledge of accessibility and semantic HTML.

• $90/hour
