■Recruitment Background

The company operates an industry-leading video platform holding over 50% market share in cloud video recording services. Over the decade since its founding, the organization has scaled rapidly from 3 to approximately 500 employees.

Faced with an impending labor shortage driven by the "80% Society" demographic shift, the company is advancing "Field AI Transformation (AX)" by integrating computer vision and AI, transforming video data into critical social infrastructure.

To support accelerated business expansion, the company restructured its Product Manager (PdM) roles into three clear functions starting this year. This reorganization aims to enable seamless, rapid cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Planning, Engineering, and Customer Success, driving agile product development.

Three Key Product Roles

■PdM (Product Manager) — Focus: "What to Build"

Engages directly with markets and clients to define product purpose and core value propositions, holding primary responsibility for overall product strategy.

■TechPdM (Technical Product Manager) — Focus: "How to Build"

Translates strategic product vision into viable technical roadmaps. Holds accountability for engineering requirements definition and technical feasibility, directly co-creating the product alongside development teams.

■POM (Product Operation Manager) — Focus: "How to Deliver & Scale"

Establishes sustainable operational systems to deliver completed products to market. Leads cross-functional coordination with Sales and CS while designing end-to-end launch workflows, logistics, field installations, and support infrastructure.

This hiring initiative targets the TechPdM role. The candidate will drive cross-functional projects to success from an engineering perspective, collaborating closely with Sales, Product Managers, Designers, and Customer Success. Anchored in deep frontend engineering expertise, the role leads user-facing product experiences through technology to accelerate the growth of the video platform.

■Role Mission

Aligning with overall corporate and product strategies, this role collaborates closely with Product Managers (PdMs) to lead the system development phase. Operating as a pivotal bridge between business goals and engineering implementation, the role balances technical leadership with hands-on development.

Serving as a TechPdM, the engineer will drive frontend development for mission-critical web products daily utilized by end-users, such as enterprise video management systems and MLOps platforms for AI developers. The scope extends beyond frontend implementation into upstream processes—including business requirements definition and functional specification—driving product value enhancement directly centered on user needs.

Offers extensive opportunities across advanced frontend domains, ranging from rich UI/UX experiences utilizing Canvas API and WebGL to architecting internal UI component libraries and low-code infrastructure.

■Case Studies & Implementation Examples]

・Fleet & Logistics Operations DX:

Integrated AI-powered cloud recording cameras with license plate recognition (LPR) systems for gate management across logistics centers and construction sites, automating real-time vehicle identification and entry/exit logging in the cloud.

・Retail & Store Operations DX:

Delivered commercial solutions that optimize store operations by synchronizing point-of-sale (POS) data with video footage, successfully mitigating internal fraud, resolving checkout queues, and preventing inventory shrinkage.

・On-Site Communication DX:

Built integrated communication systems combining real-time audio and video feeds via various IoT hardware—such as smart headsets and intercoms—enabling precise remote direction and situation assessment across distributed workplaces.

・Public & Social Infrastructure:

Advanced data-driven societal problem solving in partnership with government bodies and municipalities, leveraging foot-traffic analysis AI to visualize public space utilization and support urban development surveys.

■Responsibilities

・AI Solutions & App Development: Lead the development, proposal of functional improvements, and project management for AI-driven products designed to solve customer challenges (e.g., AI-App Person Search) as well as video playback applications.

・Value Creation & Business Alignment: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Product Managers (PdMs) to drive continuous product value enhancement by synthesizing customer feedback and market needs.

・Technical Management & Execution: Define business goals, specify technical validation items, and enable rapid hypothesis testing to ensure agile product delivery.

・Quality & Technical Mentorship: Conduct system design reviews and code reviews to support the technical development and maturity of engineering team members.

・Organizational Development: Establish structured enablement frameworks—including monthly feedback meetings, skills matrix mapping, and strategic task assignments tailored to career growth.

・Pipeline Development: Train, mentor, and foster the next generation of Technical Product Managers (TechPdMs).

■Required

Experience in web front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (5+ years)

Practical experience developing with React, Vue.js, or Angular (3+ years)

Understanding of server-side programming (API design, SQL/NoSQL databases, table design)

Experience as a project leader on development projects involving technology selection and architectural decisions

Experience in mentoring development team members and promoting the dissemination of knowledge within the organization

■Preferred

Full-stack development experience

Experience negotiating with and defining requirements for clients, business stakeholders, and Product Managers (PdMs)

Experience developing and operating large-scale services (with over 1 million users)

Experience optimizing web application performance

Knowledge and practical experience in image processing and graphics (e.g., Canvas API, WebGL)

Knowledge and practical experience in computer vision

Knowledge and practical experience in AI and machine learning

Experience building CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Experience launching new businesses or products
