This is a telecom construction-focused Project Manager role supporting large-scale Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment and broadband expansion initiatives throughout New Jersey.

Candidates must have experience supporting broadband, cable, FTTH, fiber, OSP construction, utility coordination, telecommunications infrastructure, or outside plant construction projects.

This position is focused on managing construction vendors responsible for residential FTTH deployments, network edge-out projects, and infrastructure modernization (iMod) initiatives. The Project Manager will oversee vendor performance, project execution, utility coordination, engineering handoffs, construction schedules, invoicing review, and overall project delivery across multiple New Jersey markets.

Current initiatives include residential fiber overbuild programs, expansion into newly served areas, infrastructure modernization efforts, and broadband network enhancement projects designed to expand fiber availability and improve existing network infrastructure.

Overview

Our client, a leading broadband and telecommunications provider, is seeking an FTTH Construction Project Manager to support large-scale residential fiber expansion initiatives throughout New Jersey.

This position is focused on managing the construction vendors responsible for executing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments, network edge-out projects, and infrastructure modernization initiatives across existing broadband networks. The Project Manager will oversee contractor performance, construction schedules, engineering coordination, utility relationships, project budgets, invoicing validation, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting residential FTTH deployments, managing construction vendors, reviewing as-built documentation, validating contractor deliverables, coordinating utility activities, and driving broadband construction projects from planning through closeout.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale FTTH construction projects throughout New Jersey
• Manage vendors performing residential FTTH deployments, edge-out construction, and infrastructure modernization projects
• Oversee contractors responsible for network expansion, new builds, fiber overbuilds, and broadband construction activities
• Coordinate engineering, permitting, utility, and construction activities required to support network growth initiatives
• Drive project execution from planning through completion
• Review and validate as-built documentation for project accuracy and completion
• Compare contractor invoices against completed construction work and approved project scopes
• Track contractor production, project milestones, construction schedules, and deliverables
• Support infrastructure modernization (iMod) programs across existing network footprints
• Coordinate utility pole transfer activities, make-ready efforts, and utility approvals
• Manage engineering handoffs and ensure projects are construction-ready
• Track permit approvals, utility approvals, attachment transfers, and project milestones
• Monitor vendor performance and contractor deliverables
• Ensure construction vendors meet quality, safety, and delivery expectations
• Partner with contractors to resolve documentation, invoicing, production, and schedule discrepancies
• Maintain project reporting and project records within Sitetracker, NJUNS, and related systems
• Coordinate with engineering, permitting, utility, construction, and operations teams
• Identify project risks and drive issue resolution
• Deliver project status reporting to leadership
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Support broadband expansion, FTTH deployment, network modernization, edge-out, and residential fiber construction initiatives

• Hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remote work
• Candidates may be aligned to the nearest office location based on residence and business needs
• Primary office locations include Tinton Falls, Piscataway, and Newark, NJ
• Additional office locations may be available depending on candidate proximity and project needs
• Occasional travel throughout New Jersey for vendor meetings, construction reviews, utility coordination meetings, stakeholder discussions, and project site visits

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
