Position - IT Department
ILTE – National Development Bank is building a technical Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence and is looking for an Full Stack Python Developer Engineer to help turn business needs into practical, reliable technology solutions.
One of your first goals will be to help digitalize processes that are currently handled manually through Excel, email, or separate files, and turn them into convenient, sustainable internal applications.
You will have the opportunity to work with Python, AI and other modern development and automation tools and platforms. You will have the freedom to evaluate and propose the most suitable technologies, build prototypes, experiment with different approaches, and take successful ideas all the way to production.
We are looking for someone who is interested not only in implementing predefined requirements, but in understanding the underlying business need, evaluating alternatives, proposing the right technical solution, and delivering it to a high standard.
What you will do
Build, improve, deploy, and maintain Python and React applications, integrating them with the company’s information systems, databases, APIs, and other data sources.
Develop REST APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or similar technologies.
Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data integrations, and automated workflows connecting business systems and data sources.
Develop internal applications that replace manual processes currently managed through Excel, email, shared files, or disconnected systems, with a focus on usability, reliability, and maintainability.
Develop asynchronous and background processing solutions using technologies such as Celery, message brokers, or similar tools where appropriate.
Work with business representatives, system analysts, and architects to identify opportunities for digitalization, process automation, data integration, and AI adoption.
Translate business problems and requirements into practical technical solutions, independently evaluating different approaches and recommending appropriate technologies and architectures.
Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas quickly, and evolve successful prototypes into robust, production-ready applications.
Take ownership of solutions across their lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
Apply appropriate software engineering practices to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, testable, maintainable, and scalable.
Use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools to accelerate development while critically reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code.
Collaborate with other developers, IT teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions from initial concept through production.
What we are looking for
Must have
3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong practical experience in Python and building web applications, REST APIs, data integrations/pipelines, and process automation.
Strong Python development skills and experience with one or more modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or similar.
Practical experience with React or another modern frontend framework, with the ability to build and maintain user-friendly web interfaces.
Strong experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, error handling, validation, logging, and API documentation.
Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, database design, ETL/ELT, indexing, and query optimization.
Practical experience building data pipelines, ETL processes, or workflow automation using technologies such as Apache Airflow, Celery, n8n, or similar.
Experience with asynchronous processing and/or message brokers, such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Apache Pulsar, or similar technologies.
Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Practical software engineering experience with Git, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, and Docker.
Experience taking applications from prototype to production, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools, with the ability to critically review, test, secure, and validate AI-generated code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently understand problems, evaluate alternatives, propose and justify technical solutions, and think systematically.
Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical/business stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with Node.js or other backend technologies in addition to Python.
Experience with Kafka, Apache Pulsar, or other distributed/event-streaming platforms.
Experience with additional messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
Experience with multiple cloud platforms or cloud-native services.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, observability/monitoring, or Kubernetes.
Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into business applications and workflows.
Experience working with enterprise systems, complex integrations, or large-scale data environments.
Why join us?
You will have the opportunity to be one of the people building ILTE’s technical IT Center of Excellence, with the freedom to experiment, evaluate new technologies, and turn promising ideas into solutions that have a real impact on how the organization operates.
If you enjoy experimenting, building prototypes, choosing the right technology for the problem, and turning successful ideas into reliable, high-quality solutions, this role could be for you.
Salary
Monthly gross salary: from 3400 EUR to 5100 EUR. The specific salary offer will depend on your professional experience and competencies.
