Job Overview / Purpose Statement
The Full Stack Developer builds, improves, and maintains web applications, platforms, and tools that power Fountain Forward’s services. This role works across front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business requirements. Developers collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrations, automation, and performance improvements.
Responsibilities & Duties
Core Development:
- Build and maintain full-stack applications using modern frameworks (Next.js and FastAPI).
- Write clean, efficient Python scripts for automation, integration, or data handling.
- Develop and document RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
- Design and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL).
Integration & Tooling:
- Integrate with third-party tools and services (Slack, Google Drive, ClickUp, CRMs).
- Implement integrations with external APIs and services.
- Build internal tools that support scalability and workflow efficiency.
Performance, Quality & Maintenance:
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Debug, test, and maintain code to ensure reliability and stability.
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and improve existing software.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with analysts, operations, and sales teams to ensure systems align with business goals.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop functional applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (Next.js).
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices; recommend improvements.
- The team member must be present and actively participate in all FF training sessions they are invited to attend. If unable to attend, they are responsible for reviewing the training materials and catching up on any missed training.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Responsibilities & Duties:
1+ years in full-stack development roles.
Strong proficiency with Next.js, and backend best practices with FastAPI.
Quality Control & Oversight:
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications.
Analytics & Reporting:
Proficiency with Python for automation and backend scripting.
Ability to integrate and report on system performance.
Process & Project Management:
Experience in API integration, database design (Supabase / PostgreSQL), and cloud deployment (GCP and Railway).
Mentorship & Training:
Excellent communication skills in English; ability to share technical knowledge clearly.
Collaboration:
Strong teamwork with stakeholders and cross-department peers to align technical work with business objectives.
Preferred Experience & Competencies
Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Knowledge of AI/ML integration basics.
Ability to work independently and align with a remote team in CST hours
