Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Developer at backbone.one, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our product suite. Working closely with a team of product and tech experts, you will contribute to the development and continuous imropvement of our products throughout the entire product lifecycle.

In detail your responsibilities will include developing the backend system for our newest products, as well as applications for desktop and mobile, following a mobile-first approach. As our focus is on the energy market, you will also work on integrating our platform with existing systems, such as PONTON, as well as supporting processes related to energy communities.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Preferably, you bring experience with React with TypeScript, Next and/or Dart with Flutter
• Experience in working with GitHub or other version control systems
• Familiarity and real-life experience with agile development methodologies
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade existing software
• A proactive mindset and the ability to identify, recommend and execute improvements, including refactoring
• Experience creating technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Experience integrating applications with existing systems and RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for renewable energy and a keen interest in learning about energy tariffs, energy communities, energy storage, and peer-to-peer trading.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines, frequent changes, and tight go-to-market timelines.
• Language skills: Fluent English is required as our company language; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the Austrian energy market.
• Experience with the EU-wide system PONTON.
• Experience with ledgers holding transactional data in a database.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure platform.
• Experience with Document Understanding or related technologies.
