Full Stack Engineer

Stafingo is hiring Senior Full Stack Developers for a confidential public-sector client in Alberta-Fully Remote

We are looking for experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to join multiple digital transformation and service modernization initiatives. This is an opportunity to work on complex, user-focused digital solutions within collaborative Agile teams.

Location: Remote – Canada

Employment Type: Contract

Start Date: November 2nd, 2026

End Date: November 1st, 2027

Extension: Up to an additional 24 months

Compensation : $80/hr T4 – $100/hr INC

Openings: Up to 10 resources / up to 15 contracts

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and deliver modern, scalable full-stack digital applications within Agile product teams.
• Participate in technical discovery, solution design, research and development activities.
• Translate business and user needs into secure, maintainable and production-ready solutions.
• Develop and enhance frontend and backend functionality across complex digital applications.
• Contribute to modernization of legacy applications through incremental releases and continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve functional and non-functional defects.
• Collaborate with UX, service design, product and business teams to deliver user-centred digital experiences.
• Advise product owners on technical options, implementation approaches and delivery considerations.
• Design and develop reusable components, services and technical capabilities.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing and contribute to software quality practices.
• Work with Git/source control, CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Support deployment, production releases, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and development artifacts.
• Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for technical team members.
• Apply software design patterns, architecture principles and modern engineering practices.
• Explore and apply emerging technologies, including Generative AI and AI-assisted development workflows where appropriate.

Mandatory Technical Requirements :

Candidates must demonstrate:

• 5+ years working as a Full Stack Developer on complex software solutions within an Agile team environment.
• 5+ years using source control, particularly Git, in collaborative software development.
• 3+ years of automated unit testing and integration testing.
• 3+ years working with database technologies, including relational databases and alternatives.
• 3+ years working on production applications using modern application frameworks and frontend JavaScript frameworks.
• 2+ years incrementally transforming legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases.
• 2+ years' experience with software design patterns and software architecture considerations.
• 2+ years' experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years working with teams applying UX design, service design, design thinking or human-centred design approaches.
• 2+ years' experience with one or more of the following technology stacks:
• Frontend: Angular, React, Vue.js
• Backend: C#/.NET Core, Node.js (NestJS/Express), Python (Django)
• Experience with Generative AI and agentic tooling, including prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), structured retrieval, workflow automation and critical evaluation of AI outputs for accuracy, risk, hallucination and sensitivity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; equivalent education may be considered.

Important: The evaluation team must be able to clearly determine which answer relates to Project Example 1 vs. Project Example 2. If the same answer applies to both projects, this must be explicitly stated.
