Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications.

You will work across both front-end and back-end technologies, collaborating closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to deliver robust, secure and user-friendly financial technology solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern full stack web applications.
• Build scalable, secure and efficient back-end services and APIs.
• Develop responsive and intuitive front-end interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Integrate applications with third-party services, APIs and financial platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise applications for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.
• Support the ongoing improvement of application security, scalability and system performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of commercial experience in full stack software development.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Solid back-end development experience using technologies such as Node.js, Java, C#/.NET or Python.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns and secure coding practices.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working within FinTech, banking, payments or financial services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or containerised applications.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with financial APIs, payment integrations or Open Banking.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of security, data protection and regulatory considerations within financial services.
