Our client is an investment firm building internal software for its investment and finance teams. The engineering team develops tools that support private-market data, portfolio monitoring, and reporting.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own a full-stack investment platform as a hands-on individual contributor. You will work directly with investors and finance stakeholders, translating operational needs into production software.
What you'll do
- Build portfolio monitoring, valuation, financial tracking, and reporting features.
- Automate ingestion of financial documents and company reports using AI.
- Create tools to identify and resolve inconsistent financial data.
- Build internal LLM agents and natural-language data interfaces.
- Gather feedback directly from investors, finance, and investor-relations teams.
What we're looking for
- 5 to 8 years of experience shipping production web applications.
- Experience building software for private markets, venture capital, or startup financial operations.
- Knowledge of cap tables, ownership, dilution, valuations, capital calls, or investor reporting.
- Full-stack proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL data modeling skills.
- Ability to scope and deliver hands-on engineering work directly with business stakeholders.
Bonus points
- Experience on an investment firm technology team.
- AWS production operations, CI/CD, or monitoring experience.
- Production LLM retrieval, evaluation, or agent tooling experience.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year.
- A cash bonus may be available depending on the candidate.
Location and work model
- Foster City or San Francisco, California, United States.
- Hybrid, with three days per week in the office.
- Visa transfers are supported.
