We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build the future of the Swiss real estate market for Homegate and ImmoScout24 , Switzerland’s leading real estate portals.

You will contribute to our cutting-edge, cloud-based technology stack and collaborate with a community of amazing engineers from around the globe, who are ready to share their expertise and support you in fulfilling your potential.

Your day-to-day

• Develop high-quality, user-friendly full-stack web applications that enhance the user experience of SMG products.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Management, and Product Design to define scope, evaluate solutions, and deliver features.

• Contribute to technical decision-making throughout the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment.

• Ensure code quality and application reliability through coding standards, code reviews, and effective testing strategies.

• Build reusable, well-tested modules and services while maintaining clean, reliable, and maintainable code.

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, application performance, monitoring, and overall system reliability.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and proactively prevent regressions.

• Deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines, meeting functional and non-functional requirements.

• Take ownership of team processes, propose improvements to code and tooling, and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs proactively.

• Share engineering knowledge through documentation, demos, and code reviews, while supporting less-experienced team members.

Our tech stack

• Frontend: Vue.js / React, with TypeScript as the language of choice. Our applications include a mix of client-side, server-side, pre-rendered, and hybrid web apps.

• Backend: Node.js and TypeScript, following a serverless and microservices architecture in a cloud-based environment using AWS.

• AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, and others.

• Monitoring: Mainly Datadog.

• AI: We adopt the latest developments in AI technology and expect our staff to embrace the innovation offered by large language models.

We already know you’re talented, but here are some other requirements for the role:

• Professional experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js, React, or similar.

• Professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.

• Professional experience with APIs and microservices.

• Professional experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• An academic degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

• You are a creative, adaptable, and problem-solving individual who thrives in collaborative environments.

• You have a positive attitude and are a team player.

• You are open to change and able to propose solutions.

• You are fluent in English.
