About the Role

Join a team building AI software for the design of physical systems. You will help accelerate product development by improving the user interface, then take on broader backend and systems work as the product grows.

What You'll Do

• Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product interface and speed up releases.

• Build features across the stack, with increasing focus on backend systems and infrastructure.

• Own work end to end, from architecture through deployment and reliability.

• Establish effective practices for AI-assisted, agent-driven software development.

• Collaborate with field engineers, AI researchers, and company leadership to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial users.

What We're Looking For

• Three to ten years of experience as a software or full stack engineer.

• Strong backend skills, working frontend experience, and familiarity with .NET, React, and TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents and the judgment to review and debug their output.

• A track record of taking products or major features from concept to production in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment.

• Experience owning architecture, deployment, and reliability, with adaptability as priorities shift.

• Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Remote, with the primary location in Canada. Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada and able to spend one week onsite in San Mateo, California, every six weeks.
