Web Developer – WordPress

Role Overview

We are looking for a Web Developer to work on a project-based WordPress website build. The developer should have strong WordPress and Elementor experience, with the ability to translate approved Figma designs into a complete, responsive website and use custom code where needed.

The project may also involve custom functionality, API integrations, plugin development, and technical SEO implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a complete WordPress website based on approved Figma designs.

  • Develop responsive, pixel-accurate layouts using Elementor and Elementor Pro across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP when Elementor alone cannot achieve the required design or functionality.

  • Build custom WordPress functionality and develop or modify plugins where required.

  • Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, forms, and external systems.

  • Work with WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, custom fields, and REST APIs.

  • Implement technical SEO requirements, including heading structure, metadata, schema, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, crawlability, and indexing setup.

  • Optimise website performance and Core Web Vitals.

  • Test across browsers and devices, resolve QA issues, and prepare the website for staging-to-live deployment.

  • Work closely with the project team to deliver the website according to approved designs and technical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with WordPress development, Elementor, and Elementor Pro.

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • Experience with WordPress plugin development and custom WordPress functionality.

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, and API integrations.

  • Good understanding of technical SEO, website performance, and Core Web Vitals.

  • Strong understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Working knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database structures.

  • Comfortable using Git or another version-control system.

  • Able to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

  • Strong attention to detail when implementing approved designs.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven experience building complete WordPress websites from Figma designs using Elementor and Elementor Pro.

  • Ability to deliver pixel-accurate, responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Experience using custom code when Elementor cannot achieve the required result.

  • Experience creating custom WordPress functionality and extending Elementor beyond its standard widgets and settings.

  • Strong understanding of reusable components, spacing, typography, responsive behaviour, and design systems.

  • Experience with complex API or CRM integrations.

  • Experience working on agency website projects based on approved design files.

Project Objective

This is a project-based development role. The primary objective is to take the approved Figma designs and project requirements through to a complete, responsive, functional WordPress website using Elementor, with custom development where required.

  • Power Backup: Powestation, Powerbank, UPS, etc.

  • Extra Display: Secondary/External Monitor

  • Audio & Video: Noise-Cancelling Headset + Web Cam

    Internet:

  • Internet Speed: 40-50 Mbps minimum badnwidth speed for both Download and Uploads.

Pre-engagement requirements for Independent Contractors:
