About the Role
Join a product engineering team at a venture-backed digital health startup, building clinician- and patient-facing tools that support access to insurance-covered care. You will own workflows from early design through production and help shape engineering practices as the product grows.
What You'll Do
Build and deploy end-to-end product workflows across frontend, backend, and data layers.
Own features from ideation through launch, then improve them using direct user feedback.
Develop software for real-world healthcare needs and deliver meaningful user and operational impact.
Establish code quality standards and reusable patterns that support fast, scalable development.
Balance delivery speed, scope, and quality while shipping high-impact features.
What We're Looking For
At least 2 years of full-stack development experience, with strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, and experience with React or Vue.
Experience in a product-focused engineering role with direct user interaction and ownership of user-facing outcomes.
Background at a venture-backed digital health or health technology startup, and experience in healthcare, fintech, or another regulated industry.
Understanding of healthcare basics, including insurance and provider workflows, with experience working on products close to users or in smaller, growing companies.
Experience in legacy health systems or large electronic medical record vendors is also sought.
Strong computer science fundamentals; a relevant degree or equivalent experience is valued.
Ability to discuss product outcomes such as time saved, adoption, or other measurable user impact.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $160,000 to $220,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid, based in New York, New York, with 3 to 4 days per week in the office.
