In an exciting environment focused on microcontroller development, you’ll take responsibility for functional safety and support our customers throughout the entire development process.


What can you expect?

  • You will be responsible for the further development and maintenance of FSM plans, modification plans, and safety concept descriptions, as well as the associated requirements management.
  • You will conduct safety analyses such as FMEDA, FMEA, and safety criticality analyses, and assist with code control and code reviews.
  • You will be responsible for the formal and, in some cases, technical review of hardware, software, and test documentation.
  • You will participate in the Change Control Board, coordinate the processing of Jira tickets, and assist with the evaluation of and decision-making regarding changes.
  • You will coordinate the creation and maintenance of safety user manuals.
  • You will assist with communication and coordination with TÜV, for example, in preparing and addressing technical inquiries.


Your profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a comparable technical field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in functional safety, safety engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • In-depth knowledge of functional safety and a safety certification in accordance with IEC 61508 and/or ISO 26262
  • Good knowledge of safety PLC systems, CPU components, and hardware and firmware development
  • Good knowledge of safety concepts and safety-related calculations, particularly PFH/PFD calculations
  • Knowledge of software development and verification, such as C/MISRA C and unit testing, is a plus
  • Fluent German and business-level English
