Role Overview: We are looking for a Game Client Team Lead to lead our client-side development team and ensure the reliable and timely delivery of our games. This role is primarily focused on technical leadership, team management, and delivery coordination, while staying sufficiently hands-on to support architectural decisions and complex technical challenges. You will lead a team of 6–7 client developers with mixed seniority, mentor their growth, and help maintain high engineering standards. Our current client engine is Java-based, and we are gradually transitioning toward a PIXI.js-based client. You will play a key role in supporting this evolution, helping the team adapt while ensuring stability and delivery continuity. You will have ownership over team processes, engineering practices, and technical tools, while working within our established client framework and collaborating closely with technical leadership on architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the client side development team Provide technical direction and resolve complex engineering challenges Ensure and maintain high quality coding standards Mentor and coach developers to support their carrier growth and skill development Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of game releases Define and monitor team and individual developer goals aligned with broader business and technical objectives Drive improvements to engineering processes and collaboration models Design and implement new engine features and reusable systems for future scalability Hiring, onboarding and mentoring employees Deliverables Reliable and timely delivery of client features and games aligned with the roadmap Manage and optimize team capacity to support delivery goals Team growth and retention including and mentoring developers Consistent team stability and output during major organization changes Smooth adoption of new technologies and workflows during the engine transition Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in client-side software development Experience leading or mentoring developers Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Experience maintaining and improving existing systems Ability to balance delivery, technical quality, and team support Strong communication and leadership skills Fluent English Preferred Qualifications Experience in game development Experience working with Java and JavaScript or TypeScript Experience with PIXI.js or similar rendering frameworks Experience working with custom engines Experience supporting teams through technology transitions What we offer: Real Impact: We’re small enough that your voice is heard — your contributions directly shape how we build, and you’ll have real opportunities to make your mark.
