The right garage. The right price. The right location. The right availability. And, most importantly, a customer who knows exactly what's happening.
As a Garage Allocations Associate, you'll sit at the heart of that process. You'll work closely with the UK garage network to make sure customer bookings are fulfilled smoothly, negotiating availability and pricing, solving last-minute challenges, and keeping both garages and customers informed when things change.
This isn't just an operations role. You need to understand cars and the services being booked so that you can have credible conversations with garages and make informed allocation decisions.
It's fast-paced, detail-driven and varied — and you'll play a key role in making sure every booking gets over the line.
What You'll Be Doing 🔧
- Matching bookings to garages — finding the right garage for each customer based on location, capability, availability, pricing and turnaround time.
- Negotiating with garages — speaking directly with garage partners to agree pricing and availability while balancing cost, quality and customer experience.
- Managing changes — handling rescheduled, amended or cancelled bookings and communicating changes clearly and professionally to customers.
- Solving allocation challenges — monitoring bookings in real time, identifying potential issues early and finding solutions before they become customer problems.
- Using your automotive knowledge — understanding common services such as MOTs, servicing, diagnostics and repairs so you can confidently discuss bookings with garages.
- Keeping the garage network moving — staying in regular contact with garage partners to understand capacity, availability and any service limitations.
- Making smart logistical decisions — using your understanding of UK geography, postcodes and travel distances to make sensible allocation decisions.
- Keeping customers informed — providing clear updates throughout the booking journey and managing expectations when things need to flex.
- Flagging performance issues — identifying recurring garage problems and escalating them to the Account Management team with clear information.
- Supporting the wider team — jumping in on additional operational tasks during busy periods and helping wherever needed.
What We're Looking For 🔎
- 3+ years' experience in operations, logistics, fulfilment or customer service within a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine understanding of cars and automotive services — you should be comfortable discussing MOTs, servicing, diagnostics and repairs with a garage.
- Experience working with a UK, US, Canadian, Australian or Western European company is important.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate clearly with both customers and garage partners.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills — you're comfortable discussing pricing, availability and solutions.
- Good understanding of UK geography and logistics, including regions, travel distances and postcodes.
- Extremely detail-oriented — you understand that getting an allocation wrong can directly impact the customer experience.
- A solutions-first mindset — when something goes wrong, you're already thinking about how to fix it.
- Highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple moving parts without losing track of the detail.
- Able to work independently and take real ownership of your work.
Most importantly — you're commercially minded, but you care about getting the right outcome for the customer.
You know how to negotiate without damaging relationships, and you're the kind of person who sees a problem through until it's properly resolved.

You'd be particularly well suited if you have:
- Experience working in a garage, dealership or automotive business.
- A background in automotive, mobility, logistics or marketplace operations.
- Experience with UK postcode geography and regional logistics.
- Used CRM, booking or operations management systems.
- Experience monitoring SLAs, operational performance or fulfilment metrics.
- A sales background — helpful, but definitely not essential.

The Schedule ⏰
Monday to Friday, working an 8.5-hour shift within the window of 08:30–18:30 UK time (GMT/BST).
Your exact shift will be confirmed based on business needs.
For South African candidates, this generally means working 1–2 hours ahead of UK time, depending on the time of year.
