Role Description The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, and preventive care for a diverse patient base. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing fillings, crowns, simple extractions, preventive treatments, and collaborating on implant and aesthetic cases as needed. The role also includes maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and educating patients on oral health and treatment options. This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Secunda, with primary clinical work on-site and some administrative or planning tasks that may be completed from home.

Qualifications

• Relevant dental degree and valid registration/license with the appropriate dental council or regulatory body.
• Proficiency in general dentistry procedures, including diagnostics, restorative treatments, and preventive care.
• Experience or strong interest in dental implants, crowns, and aesthetic dentistry is advantageous.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Effective communication skills for explaining treatment options and building trust with patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive practice culture.
• Comfort with basic digital tools and dental practice management software.
• Willingness to work full-time in a hybrid arrangement, with flexibility between on-site clinical work in Secunda and limited remote tasks.
