General Ledger Accountant

That's why were partnering with a global technology leader in electromechanical and automation systems to find a General Ledger Accountant for their high-performing Shared Service Center in Sofia. About the Role: As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be a key contributor to accurate financial reporting and compliant accounting operations. You'll work within a structured SSC environment, supporting core Record-to-Report activities, process excellence, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support month-end and year-end closing activities in line with group timelines Ensure timely and accurate processing of cash receipts and related postings Execute daily control checks to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Prepare standard and ad-hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations Who Were Looking For: Deep knowledge of accounting principles with at least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting SSC/BPO structures in General Ledger accounting Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics Strong competence in ERP systems Knowledge-sharing mindset with a people-oriented approach Experience in process and procedure transitions is considered a strong advantage Highly detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English What's on Offer: Competitive salary package Flexible working hours and option for remote work Health insurance and wellness benefits Professional development and learning opportunities Collaborative, international team culture State-of-the-art office facilities Interested?
