German Speaking GP / Digital Clinician – Remote

We’re supporting a leading digital healthcare organisation in its search for an experienced GP / Digital Clinician to join its growing clinical team in Ireland.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional scheduled consultations and practise medicine through a modern, asynchronous healthcare model. You’ll review structured online consultations, communicate with patients securely and make autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions — with telephone or video consultations used only where clinically appropriate.

The role

The position will primarily focus on weight management, including assessing suitability for GLP-1 therapies, reviewing ongoing treatment and prescribing safely in line with national guidance and clinical protocols.

You’ll also support patients across a range of other conditions that can be safely managed through an online healthcare platform.

Beyond direct patient care, you’ll collaborate with teams across Clinical, Product, Engineering and Operations to help improve clinical pathways, develop new services and enhance the patient experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Assess asynchronous patient consultations and make safe, evidence-based clinical decisions.
• Assess suitability for GLP-1 therapies and other treatments.
• Prescribe safely in accordance with relevant legislation, clinical guidance and protocols.
• Request additional information where required to support prescribing decisions.
• Review ongoing treatment and support patients throughout their healthcare journey.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Help develop clinical guidelines, prescribing pathways and new digital services.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
• Participate in teaching, peer learning and continuing professional development.

Essential Requirements:

• Current GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Based in the United Kingdom with the right to work in Ireland.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine and safe prescribing.
• Excellent written communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Confidence making autonomous clinical decisions in a remote environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with digital platforms and electronic clinical systems.
• An interest in innovation and using technology to improve healthcare.

Desirable:

• MRCGP, ICGP membership or equivalent recognised GP qualification.
• Experience in obesity or weight management.
• Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies and relevant clinical guidance.
• Experience in digital healthcare, telemedicine or asynchronous consultations.
• Experience with protocol-driven prescribing.
• Experience contributing to clinical governance or guideline development.
• Additional language skills such as German, French or Spanish.
