What we are looking for: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of a range of internal and collaborative projects. This includes grant-funded initiatives from Innovate UK, drug development pipelines, and collaborative projects with external partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry and will be experienced in managing both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, milestones, and funding objectives. Monitor and report on project progress, track expenditures, and ensure that project outcomes are in line with objectives. Organize and lead regular project meetings, prepare agendas, and provide status updates to senior leadership. Proactively identify risks and issues affecting project progress, and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that project changes and adjustments are documented and approved in accordance with company policies and procedures. Lead the management of Innovate UK-funded projects, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements, timelines, and deliverables and acting as the lead contact for these projects with Innovate UK. Manage a range of therapeutic drug development projects, from early development through preclinical testing, including coordinating the preparation and filing of regulatory submissions. Manage and coordinate partnership agreements and collaboration projects with external stakeholders. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Experience in project management within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, including experience managing grant-funded projects and drug development programs. Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with an understanding of regulatory requirements in drug development. Familiarity with collaboration agreements, partnership management, and negotiations with external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies and academic partners. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, including senior leadership. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges and propose practical solutions.  Include education, experience, knowledge, technical skills and key competencies and behaviours. Use the career ladder for reference. Great to haves: Experience working with Innovate UK or other grant funding bodies is a distinct advantage. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to drug development (e.g., FDA, EMA) is an advantage. Other details: Our laboratory and office facilities are based in Whittlesford, Cambridge. Whilst we support flexible working, regular attendance on site will be required to meet the collaborative and operational needs of the role. Please note that our office space is dog friendly.
