Generative AI Scientist

🚀 We’re Hiring – Generative AI Scientist (Remote)

Aptendo is expanding its AI engineering team for long-term projects with international clients. We’re looking for a Generative AI Scientist with strong hands-on experience building production-grade LLM and agent-based systems. If Python, RAG, multi-agent orchestration, APIs, and AWS are part of your day-to-day work — and you know how to move GenAI solutions from PoC to production — read on.

What you'll do

• Design and build multi-agent AI systems, including supervisor / sub-agent orchestration patterns
• Develop multi-step and asynchronous AI workflows for complex enterprise use cases
• Integrate GenAI solutions into enterprise environments through secure APIs and backend services
• Deliver end-to-end LLM-powered applications in production
• Design effective prompting strategies, context management, structured outputs, validation, and guardrails
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines, including vector search, similarity retrieval, embeddings, indexing, and content storage
• Develop Python-based backend services, APIs, integrations, and orchestration layers
• Apply strong engineering practices around testing, observability, reliability, and error handling
• Deploy and operate scalable AI solutions on AWS, following best practices around security, IAM, performance, and CI/CD

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in Python backend engineering
• Hands-on experience delivering Generative AI / LLM-based applications
• Practical experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
• Strong knowledge of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systems
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and asynchronous workflows
• Hands-on experience deploying production systems in AWS environments
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and measurable AI solutions for enterprise environments

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-agent architectures
• Experience productionising AI systems at scale
• Knowledge of data pipelines, search infrastructure, and platform engineering
• Understanding of Responsible AI, AI governance, compliance, and safety guardrails
• Strong solutioning and stakeholder management skills
