Geospatial Senior Software Developer (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior GIS Engineer to design and build advanced geospatial capabilities that power utility infrastructure planning, route optimization, corridor analysis, and pre-construction decision-making.

This is more than a traditional GIS role. We’re looking for a technically strong software engineer with deep geospatial expertise and proven system architecture capabilities who can transform complex spatial data into scalable, production-ready software solutions.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable geospatial data models and system architectures for utility assets, routes, corridors, and infrastructure networks.
• Develop automated geoprocessing workflows and spatial ETL pipelines.
• Build and optimize spatial databases, APIs, map services, and interactive GIS applications.
• Ensure spatial data accuracy, topology, quality assurance, and reliable analytical outputs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop a standalone GIS solution with future enterprise integration capabilities.

🔹 What We’re Looking For:

• 5–8+ years of professional experience in GIS development, geospatial engineering, or related software engineering roles.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on system architecture experience.
• Expertise in enterprise GIS platforms, particularly the Esri ecosystem or equivalent technologies.
• Proficiency in spatial databases such as PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial, or Oracle Spatial.
• Experience with Python-based geospatial automation, spatial SQL, and production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience developing GIS capabilities within web-based or enterprise software applications.
• Exposure to utility infrastructure, telecommunications, construction, or linear infrastructure projects, particularly during pre-construction planning, is highly desirable.
