The Role
Reporting directly to the Global Marketing Director, you will be the mastermind behind our sports sponsorship strategy and the primary point of contact for our Elite & Amateur Athletes. Covering a global scope across Trail Running, Triathlon, Road Running, and Cycling, you will manage the entire lifecycle of our partnerships: from scouting and contract negotiation to marketing activation, budget management, and acting as a direct liaison with our R&D department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy, Recruitment & Contract Management (Sponsorship)
- Conduct ongoing research, track race results, and analyze social media to identify, approach, and recruit future talent across our 4 key sports.
- Directly negotiate partnership agreements with athletes, and/or their agents and managers.
- Manage incoming partnership requests, responding to elite-level inquiries or redirecting them to relevant local distributors.
- Manage the overall annual athlete budget, including invoicing and ROI tracking.
- Finalize athlete contracts, coordinating the process from preparation through to signing.
2. Marketing Activation, Events & Content
- Organize and oversee athlete presence and activations at major events (UTMB Mont-Blanc, IRONMAN & 70.3 World Championships, Challenge Roth, etc.).
- Organize all elements of the annual Elite Athlete Team Camp, including travel logistics, scheduling, and alignment with key brand focuses.
- Liaise with the Communication & Content Team to capitalize on key races, coordinating pre- and post-race photo/video content with athletes and photographers.
- Prepare and distribute the weekly post-race report internally, and monitor athlete performance and social media activity.
3. Product Development & R&D
- Act as the central link between athletes and our Body Science & Product Development Teams to gather product feedback, identify specific apparel needs, and coordinate co-development workshops.
- Work with the relevant departments to ensure to the athletes’ best service the whole year long from Product and R&D teams.
4. Athletes & Ambassador Program
- Drive the Global Athletes & Ambassador Program from end-to-end with local organizations
- Recruit, manage, and successfully activate a dedicated team of 20-30 ambassadors across our key European countries to drive local brand awareness, community engagement, and regional visibility.
- Drive our network of international partners/distributors to deploy the global strategy, ensuring it resonates perfectly at the local level.
Your Profile
- You have proven experience (ideally 3-5+ years) in Sports Marketing, Athlete Management, or sports partnership management at an international level.
- You have a deep understanding of the endurance sports ecosystem, culture, and race calendars (Trail, Triathlon, Cycling, Running). A strong existing network within this industry is highly desirable.
- You possess strong negotiation skills for complex contracts and the ability to rigorously manage a sponsorship budget.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to various stakeholders (athletes, agents, R&D, team directors), and the emotional intelligence needed to handle egos and unforeseen events in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent/Bilingual English is mandatory. Proficiency in French (or another language) is a strong plus.
- You are highly flexible and willing to travel extensively (including race weekends, training camps, and international trips).
- You have a proven track record of working internationally or within a diverse, global work environment.
