Job Description:

The Mars enterprise is undergoing an Enterprise Transformation, a critical program designed to protect the corporation at the legal and tax level. This program is highly complex, involves many interdependent programs in-flight across Mars, and must be completed within a tight timeframe, needing completion within five years (by 2030).

The Global Data & Analytics Senior Manager will lead the end-to-end Data, Analytics and Reporting agenda for a complex global business transformation.

The role is accountable for ensuring that data and reporting requirements are identified, designed and delivered consistently across business processes, functions, segments and markets. The Senior Lead will connect business needs with data architecture, technology and analytics capabilities to ensure that the future organization has reliable, accessible and decision-relevant information from day one.

The role will provide overall leadership across business reporting requirements, data definitions, data quality, data readiness, analytics and performance insights, ensuring alignment between global standards and the needs of markets and business teams.

Working closely with Business Process, Digital & Technology, functional teams, data organizations and deployment teams, the role will ensure that data is treated as a core transformation capability rather than as a downstream technology activities.

What are we looking for?

  • +10 years experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence or Reporting roles
  • Experience leading Data & Analytics within large-scale business, specifically on Atlas ERP digital transformation programs.
  • Atlas BI experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data and reporting across multiple business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into data and analytics capabilities.
  • Experience defining KPIs, reporting standards and enterprise performance-management requirements.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data ownership and data-quality principles.
  • Experience with data migration, data readiness and deployment activities.

  • Drive adoption of common data definitions and standards across the organization.

  • Support sustainable data-governance capabilities that continue after transformation delivery.

Data Quality & Readiness

  • Define data-readiness expectations and quality criteria required for successful deployment.
  • Establish mechanisms to assess data completeness, accuracy, consistency and readiness across markets and functions.

  • Work closely with Business Process Transformation leadership to ensure process and data design remain fully aligned.
  • Partner with Digital leadership to ensure technology platforms and data architecture enable business requirements.
  • Coordinate reporting and data dependencies across transformation workstreams.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-functional data and reporting decisions.
  • Represent Data & Analytics within program governance and senior transformation forums as required.

Deployment & Market Readiness

  • Define Data & Analytics readiness criteria for market and business deployments.
  • Ensure reporting, data quality and information requirements are incorporated into deployment plans.
  • Partner with market teams to understand local reporting and data needs while protecting global standards.
  • Support fit-to-standard and fit-gap activities related to data and reporting.
  • Ensure critical reporting capabilities are available at go-live and during stabilization.
  • Capture learning from deployments and continuously strengthen the global Data & Analytics approach.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead a cross-functional network of Data & Analytics resources supporting the transformation.
  • Provide direction to reporting, analytics, data-management and business-data resources.
  • Create clear priorities, governance and ways of working across a global matrixed organization.
  • Build stronger data literacy and accountability across business teams.
