The Opportunity

We're building a foundation model for physical AI, developing the intelligence that will enable robots to learn and operate in the real world.

As we prepare to emerge from stealth, we're looking for an exceptional communications leader to shape how our company, technology, and founders are understood. You'll lead our public launch, establish our presence in the global AI conversation, and build lasting credibility with the media, top technical talent, industry partners, and the broader public.

As our founding communications leader, you'll work directly with the founders and technical leadership to build our global communications function. You’ll be the first person in this role, laying the groundwork for a small team across the US and Munich, supported by external agencies and specialist partners, combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

Your Responsibilities

    • Shape our narrative: Develop a distinctive, compelling story around our technology, mission, and founders, grounded in real technical progress and a clear vision for the future.
    • Lead our public launch: Own the communications strategy and execution for our emergence from stealth, followed by major product, funding, and partnership announcements.
    • Build our media and ecosystem presence: Cultivate relationships with top-tier journalists, influential researchers, industry voices, and other key players across the US and global AI ecosystem. Identify compelling angles and secure meaningful visibility.
    • Elevate our founders: Build their public profiles through thoughtful positioning, interviews, and speaking opportunities.
    • Stay ahead of the conversation: Be deeply plugged into the US AI and technology ecosystem, particularly the conversations happening on X. Identify emerging narratives, cultural shifts, opportunities, and risks, translating those insights into actionable guidance for our founders and Munich-based team.
    • Translate technical progress into stories: Work closely with researchers and engineers to turn complex technical work into narratives that resonate with different audiences.
    • Protect and strengthen our reputation: Advise leadership on public perception, sensitive communications, and emerging debates around AI and robotics.
    • Lead global communications: Manage our Munich-based communications hire, coordinate external agencies and partners, and own communications strategy and execution across the US and Europe.

    • 8+ years of experience in strategic communications or public relations, with a proven track record of building high-profile narratives for technology companies.
    • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment. You know what makes a story newsworthy, how to develop an original angle, and how to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.
    • Deep immersion in AI and technology culture, particularly on X. You know the people, conversations, and communities shaping the industry and have strong instincts for separating meaningful signals from hype.
    • Strong relationships across leading US technology media and the broader tech ecosystem, with demonstrated success securing substantive, high-quality coverage.
    • Experience advising founders or senior executives, including navigating high-stakes announcements and sensitive reputational issues.
    • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to engage with researchers and engineers, challenge assumptions, and translate sophisticated technology into compelling, credible narratives.
    • A highly proactive, resourceful approach. You're comfortable building strategy, writing and pitching yourself, and leading a small international team and external partners.
    • Experience in deep tech, AI, robotics, or hardware is a strong plus.
    • Willingness to travel regularly to our Munich headquarters and spend meaningful time on-site with the team.

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Work with a world-class team in a flat hierarchy, with direct collaboration alongside the founders and engineering team
  • Fast growth potential in a rapidly evolving company and industry
  • International office environment with English as the official working language
