The Global Head of Digital & Technology owns the enterprise technology strategy including operational technology, architecture, data, AI, and digital transformation agenda and serves as the primary business partner for technology-enabled business change across the organization.
The role is responsible for ensuring that Digital & Technology capabilities support business growth, operational excellence, innovation, and long-term competitiveness while delivering measurable business value.
Business Partnership & Strategy
Act as strategic advisor to executive and business leadership teams.
Translate business strategy into Digital & Technology roadmaps.
Identify opportunities to improve performance through technology, data, automation and AI.
Ensure Digital & Technology investments are aligned with business priorities.
Technology Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
Define and maintain the global Digital & Technology strategy.
Own the enterprise architecture framework.
Ensure alignment across business processes, applications, data, infrastructure and security.
Drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
Portfolio & Investment Management
Govern the Digital & Technology portfolio and budgets.
Prioritize business demands and investment decisions.
Balance Run, Grow and Transform initiatives.
Monitor value realization and return on investment.
Data, AI & Innovation
Define enterprise Data and AI strategies.
Promote data-driven decision making.
Drive adoption of AI, automation and digital capabilities.
Identify emerging technologies that create business value.
Organization & Talent
Build and lead a high-performing Digital & Technology organization.
Develop future leaders and critical technology capabilities.
Ensure skills and expertise evolve with emerging technologies.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
Governance & Risk Management
Establish Digital & Technology governance and standards.
Ensure effective cybersecurity, compliance and risk management.
Support executive decision-making on technology-related opportunities and risks.
Required
Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Digital, Technology or Business Transformation.
Proven experience leading global teams, budgets and transformation programs.
Strong business acumen and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred
MBA or Executive Leadership education.
Experience in manufacturing, chemical or life sciences industry.
Experience with Data, AI and Digital Transformation programs.
Languages
- Fluent English, German and/or French preferred
