We give you a world of potential

Computershare is a global financial administration company, employing over 11,000 people worldwide. We provide services in more than 20 countries to over 25,000 clients and 75 million customers.

Our Global Finance function is responsible for delivering transactional accounting services, financial planning and analysis, financial accounting and reporting, treasury management, commercial finance, and tax support across the Computershare Group. Operating across multiple jurisdictions, the function plays a critical role in supporting business growth, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Due to continued growth and transformation, we are seeking a Global Head of Indirect Tax to lead our global indirect tax strategy and function.

A role you will love

As Global Head of Indirect Tax, you will provide strategic leadership for the Group's indirect tax function, ensuring compliance with all applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, and other indirect tax obligations across a complex global organisation.

Reporting within the Global Finance function, you will operate at a highly strategic level while also overseeing operational delivery, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and business units worldwide to ensure indirect tax considerations are embedded into business decision-making and transformation programmes.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for developing the capability, effectiveness, and performance of the Indirect Tax function while driving a culture of excellence, partnership, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on all global indirect tax matters, including business partnering, advisory, compliance operating model, and technology capability for Computershare. The role has oversight across all regions, including EMEA, North America, and APAC.

  • Serve as the primary indirect tax expert and partner with all parts of the business to support the commercial goals, optimise after tax results, achieve operational efficiency, and proactively mitigate regulatory and Tax Authority challenges.

  • Define and execute the global indirect tax and technology strategy across the Group’s footprint. Lead the transition as the indirect tax subject matter expert toward automated, data-driven and real-time digital management, and augment the Group’s controls and reporting framework as part of the Group’s wider ongoing finance change programmes and in alignment with the Group’s Corporate Strategic goals.

  • Establish appropriate controls, policies, processes and training across the group for the effective and efficient management of indirect tax risks and controls, leading the implementation of the global governance framework.

  • Identify upcoming and new indirect tax requirements (e.g. SAF-T, SII and e-invoicing) and proactively lead on the design and implementation of relevant measures required to efficiently manage these in alignment with the Group’s change programmes.

  • Oversee and optimally develop the compliance operating and delivery models for Computershare entities (including the management of Tax Authority Audits) using a mix of a centralised in-house capability and outsourced providers.

  • As a senior member of the global Tax and Finance teams and a member of the Tax Leadership Team, collaboratively define the team’s people culture and team members’ personal development strategy, and drive delivery of the global tax strategy.

  • Drive process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience leading indirect tax functions within a large multinational organisation or professional services environment.

  • Deep technical expertise across indirect taxes, including VAT, GST, sales tax, and associated regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven experience managing complex tax compliance and advisory matters across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams in a global environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively at executive and board level.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with diverse global teams.

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Track record of delivering operational improvements, transformation programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
