Global Immigration Consultant
CIBTPosition Overview
In this role, you will handle the overall immigration processes for our clients, providing timely and accurate support in order to meet internal metrics and deliver on our customer commitments. You will also work closely with our Network Partners in each country with a focus on efficiency and providing a high-quality client experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiate, assess, prepare, and monitor cases for assigned countries.
- Anticipate and meet client needs, offering proactive advice.
- Stay updated on industry events and changes to legislation, as relevant to clients.
- Communicate with clients, embassies, and authorities, and build and maintain warm client relationships.
- Respond to inquiries promptly, comprehensively and accurately.
- Attend client meetings, telephone & video conferences/ webinars as required.
- Identify, pursue and generate new business leads, ensuring that work is profitable.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize critical tasks.
- Exceed customer expectations and meet service level agreements.
- Utilize resources and research complex cases/ scenarios.
- Contact Embassies, Consulates, Visa Application Centres and other authorised agencies or authorities to confirm requirements and details, as required.
- Recommend improvements in work procedures, policies or systems.
- Work with third party providers across the globe to efficiently deliver services to clients.
- Use sound judgment in assessing client risk and escalate potential issues to management in a timely manner.
- Update and maintain all applicable data and documents in Immigo (Newland Chase Immigration System).
- Ensure all work undertaken is in scope, is billed promptly and that fees are agreed/ approved in advance for additional services.
- Work with integrity, maintain confidentiality, and uphold company values.
- Handle applications expediently, accurately, and in compliance with immigration laws.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification and Competencies
- Graduate level degree or equivalent (desirable)
- Previous immigration experience (min. 2 years)
- Proven ability to research, identify, analyze and interpret information from a range of sources and develop an appropriate solution
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and under supervision
- Proven ability to undertake work on a project basis
- Able to demonstrate a positive and flexible attitude to work, particularly new initiatives
- Proven ability to manage a diverse and varied workload
- Proven ability to maintain a clear overview of the key issues and prioritize effectively
- Proven ability to influence effectively and sensitively, verbally and in writing
- Second language (desirable)
- Results oriented and operates with a strong level of accountability
- Proficiency/ fluency of English language, spoken and written
- Strong focus with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; proactive approach to addressing and communicating issues, providing feedback and solutions
- Time management and planning skills
