Global Solution Architect – Employee Experience - (Hybrid or Virtual)

What the day will look like

• Design innovative, scalable benefits solutions and own the most technically challenging accounts where configuration complexity, scale, or integrations demand senior-level expertise.
• Partner with benefit managers at large multinational clients to design and implement a robust framework that underpins successful, repeatable implementations.
• Raise the bar by mentoring internal stakeholders, modelling best practices, and shaping the processes and playbooks that enable high-quality support.
• Define standard templates and processes, and create clear documentation in support of new or enhanced service offerings.
• Deliver training on new functionality and services to cross-functional and Client Management teams so they can confidently position and support our solutions.
• Support System, Data, and Configuration teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution, including guiding how new system updates and migrations are deployed into production.
• Provide domain expertise on benefit structures, guiding principles, and system integration tasks, and translate complex business needs into clear requirements for development.
• Stay on top of regional and global market trends and partner with stakeholders to identify and shape new revenue opportunities.
• Communicate status, manage risks, and participate in client presentations, workshops, and training sessions to ensure alignment and strong delivery outcomes.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelor’s degree (Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, MIS or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of related experience in benefits, HR technology, consulting, or similar.
• Strong grasp of financial and business metrics and core risk management concepts.
• Experience with project-based work, project lifecycle models, and Agile software delivery. Especially within benefits platforms or HR technology environments.
• Hands-on experience with configuration, event flows, testing, and troubleshooting in complex systems.

• Gather requirements and prepare requirements definition documentation for client plan design/service delivery

• Gather requirements from application end-users and prepare requirements definition documentation for system enhancement and maintenance item

• Assist with quality assurance testing following documented test plans of client configuration and system enhancement/maintenance items to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects

• Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management

• Review technical specifications and work with development team to resolve issues

• May be involved with training end-users or other testers on application functionality

• Provide guidance to end-users on best practices with implementing new application functionality and support end-users in determining root-cause of stated issues

• Ability to research application issues and tools, with solid understanding of data privacy practices and laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear technical and client-facing documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills; able to prioritise and execute on what matters most.
• Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable coaching others and leading by example.
• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.

Pay Transparency Laws:

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $95K to $105K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
