Join our growing developer community in Szeged and help build a brand-new airline operations product from the ground up.

We are looking for Backend Developers to join one of our agile teams working on a new greenfield product. You will design, build and evolve backend services while gaining hands-on experience with a broad range of technologies.

Turnaround Manager gives airlines the situational awareness and decision-support tools they need to make aircraft turnaround processes smoother and more predictable. Passenger Connection helps airlines manage connecting journeys and reduce the risk of passengers missing their onward flights.

Together, these products help our airline customers automate previously manual processes, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction and strengthen on-time performance - key capabilities for standing out in a highly competitive market.

Our frontend is built with TypeScript, while Go is the primary backend technology. We are mainly looking for backend developers with Go experience; the ability and interest to contribute to the TypeScript frontend is an additional advantage.

Your tasks will include

• Developing and maintaining backend components in Golang.
• Working in an agile environment and contributing to development and end-to-end testing.
• Taking ownership of your code and maintaining high quality standards.
• Code review and testing.
• Collaborating with internal partners and airline customers.

You are looking for us, if you have

• At least three years of hands-on experience in software design and development.
• Golang knowledge.
• Experience with event-driven and microservice architectures, including distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of concurrent, async and reactive programming paradigms.
• Messaging fundamentals.
• Proven track record of implementing high-performance backend solutions.
• Proficiency in working with and designing a range of APIs (REST, SSE).
• Containerization and orchestration experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and connecting tooling, preferably GitHub Actions.
• A strong understanding of test-first approaches, domain-driven design and hexagonal architecture, combined with the judgment to know when a pragmatic solution is appropriate.
• Strong mindset and passion for building high-quality products and great customer experience.
• Have excellent written and spoken English skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of and experience with TypeScript, React, Material UI and CSS.
• OpenTelemetry and observability experience.
• Basic Azure knowledge.
• Messaging Middlewares: NATS/JetStream, ActiveMQ.
• Database experience; PostgreSQL.
