About The Job

As Governance & Regulatory Lead, you'll set the strategic direction for governance and regulatory compliance across the division, partnering with stream and squad leaders to embed quality and trust into every stage of delivery. You'll own the frameworks and assurance processes that keep our services safe and compliant, freeing teams to innovate with confidence.

Reporting To The General Manager, Orygen Digital You Will

• Shape governance strategy - develop and evolve the division's governance framework to support safe, high-quality digital mental health services.
• Drive regulatory oversight - lead accreditation, MOST registration, TGA compliance and legislative obligations with continuous readiness.
• Partner across the division - embed governance, quality and regulatory thinking with stream and squad leaders throughout planning and delivery.
• Champion Just Culture - turn incidents, audits and near misses into meaningful learning that builds psychological safety and transparency.
• Build governance capability – coach a small quality team and equip squads with the tools and confidence to own governance responsibilities themselves.
  
  

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as health, psychology, nursing, allied health, health service management, law, public policy or a related field and relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in governance, quality, regulation, health service management or leadership.
• Governance & regulatory expertise - significant experience leading governance, quality or regulatory functions in healthcare, digital health or a similarly regulated environment, with a strong grasp of accreditation and compliance obligations
• Strategic influence - proven ability to lead divisional change, advise executive leaders and governance committees, and influence across multidisciplinary teams without relying on formal authority
• Continuous improvement mindset - experience translating regulatory requirements into practical, scalable processes, and using data, incidents and audits to drive meaningful learning
• Clear communicator & culture builder - excellent written and Board-level communication skills, paired with a collaborative, pragmatic approach that champions psychological safety and a Just Culture.
