Kent is looking for a recent graduate to join the Manifa Project team as a Graduate Contract Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual looking to build a career in commercial and contract management within the energy industry. The hiring manager is keen to identify someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and is excited by the prospect of developing their skills while supporting a major international project. Due to project requirements, we are particularly interested in candidates who are available to start work as soon as possible.

Recruitment Timeline

Shortlisting and pre-screening of applications will commence in early November. Candidates selected to progress to the next stage will be invited to interview, with interviews scheduled to take place from late November to early December 2026.

Hybrid Working

Skills & Responsibilities:

Prime Contract Administration 

  • Provide administrative support with Project Correspondence 
  • Maintain Prime Contract Management Register 
  • Undertake analysis and advise Project Functions on Commercial matters 
  • Administration of Inter-Company Agreements for Kent resources 
  • Support the Commercial Manager with day-to-day Function tasks 
  • Assistance with the preparation of documentation as and where requested by Kent Corporate. 

Subcontractor and Supply-Chain (Third-Party) Administration 

  • Provide support to Subcontracts Team in pre and post-contract activities 
  • Review and advise on internal and external Recommendation for Award documentation 
  • Coordinate with Subcontracts and Supply-Chain for drafting contractual correspondence  
  • Maintain Third-Party contract registers (LD, Guarantees, Insurance)  
  • Support with reviewing Third Party payment certification / invoice’s 

Invoicing 

  • Support with the preparation of Payment Proposals and the Prime Contract Invoicing process. 
  • Maintenance of applicable registers for Invoicing.  

Management of Change 

  • Provide administrative support with internal and external Management of Change Process. 
  • Maintain MOC Registers from origination of Change to receipt of Change Order. 
  • Support with the preparation of Change Proposals. 
  • Administration of the Project Change Board. 

General 

  • Ensure compliance with Project and Kent Procedures and processes 
  • Actively participate in HSSE Reporting including Hazard Observations, Safety Interventions & HSSE Inspections. 

Provide support for Bids as requested 

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner. 
  • Works autonomously with direct supervision. 
  • May require travels to the various project sites. 

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: 

  • ​​​Degree in Engineering, Quantity Survey, Business or Law is preferable. 
  • ​Arabic language skills preferable. ​ 

Communication:

  • ​​​Strong communication skills for contract negotiation and management. 
  • ​Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers and line manager and hold presentations to project management and Clients (written and verbal).​ 

Behaviour/ Core Competencies:

  • ​​​​​Capability of collating, verifying and handling information and producing instructions. 
  • ​Strong communication skills for contract negotiation and management. 
  • ​Analytical mindset for interpreting complex contract terms. 
  • ​Attention to detail and accuracy in contract administration. 
  • ​Good knowledge in how to handle risks and mitigation measures. 
  • ​Excellent interpersonal and analytical attributes. 
  • ​Ownership of responsibility for work. 
  • ​Able to effectively communicate contractual issues to peers and line manager and hold presentations to project 
  • ​management and Clients (written and verbal). 
  • ​Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.​
