Kent is looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Woking office, you'll join our Graduate Development Programme and work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of exciting energy projects. You'll gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring from industry professionals, and develop the technical and professional skills needed to build a successful engineering career. We're looking for a motivated and ambitious graduate who is eager to learn, contribute to real-world projects, and grow within a global engineering organisation

Recruitment Timeline

Skills & Responsibilities:
- Functioning as part of a team of engineers and will mainly provide assistance to other engineers, or be responsible under close supervision.
- Complete Kent Graduate Development Programme.
- Corporate reporting line is to respective Mechanical Group Manager.

- Undertakes specific tasks / area of work as defined by the lead / principal / senior engineer.
- Executes allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan and TDR.
- Works to the requirements of the Mechanical Design Manual
- Executes work in compliance with client specification, Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project specific procedures, guides and standards.
- Performs related duties as and when instructed by lead / principal / senior engineer or group manager.
- Providing input to preparation of deliverables by other engineers.
- Providing input and support to decision making by other engineers.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering – degree should be accredited by one of the professional engineering institutions.
- Awareness applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes.
- Knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures and best practice.
Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

- Analytical and problem-solving mind.
- We are looking for candidates who are due to graduate in 2026 or have graduated in the last 2 years.
