At DeepTree, we're building the world's best M&A analyst: an AI that makes financial decisions sharper, faster, and more reliable.
We work with more than 150 high-profile investment banks and private equity funds, where the margin for error is zero. That responsibility sets our standard: fast, but above all accurate and high-quality. It shapes our pace and how we work.
We're a small team of top-tier engineers, and we're looking for the next great one. Expectations are high, and growth is tied directly to impact.
What you'll do
- Build and ship features for the AI agents that handle M&A tasks, working closely with senior engineers on design and code reviews
- Contribute to the systems around those agents: data pipelines, evaluation, testing, and the infrastructure that keeps them reliable
- Learn across the full stack: we strongly value and encourage preliminary studies before taking on each task
- We work by task, not by sprint: no long planning cycles or bureaucracy, just real problems to solve and a direct impact on the product.
- This doesn't mean you'll be left on your own: you'll take on progressively larger problems, starting with ones you can work on in a fresh repository. This way you can start building without the overhead of absorbing all the existing context, and get to know our system and tech stack step by step.
What we look for
We care about potential, not years of experience. What matters is real passion for software and AI, and the drive to learn quickly, build fast, and improve constantly.
You're curious, you enjoy hard problems, and you're not afraid to ask questions when something is unclear. You care about writing code that works and you pay attention to details.
You've recently graduated (or are about to) in Computer Science or a related field, or you've built strong skills through other paths. You have solid programming fundamentals, ideally in Python.
Compensation & growth
- €45k–€65k based on skill and potential, growing with the company
- Stock options available – choose the mix that works for you
- Direct impact on top-tier financial decisions from day one
- Milan office, one remote day per week, with flexibility when needed
Selection process
Lean and thoughtful: 2-3 conversations covering your background and motivations, problem-solving exercises, and a few short AI coding challenges.
If you want to apply AI to real, high-stakes financial problems with a team that values talent, trust, and speed, we'd love to hear from you.
