Viterbo University is seeking Graduate Statistics Specialist who can provide expert quantitative research support to graduate students across all University programs, including business, counseling, leadership, and nursing. This position plays a crucial role in supporting graduate-level research, thesis development, and dissertation completion through statistical consultation and analysis. The main responsibilities of the position are individual consultations with students on their research design and analysis. Responsibilities: Research Support & Statistical Analysis Guide graduate students in research design, including instrumentation selection and statistical methodology Conduct advanced statistical analyses and support data interpretation Ensure accuracy and validity of research findings Provide online consultations (options available for in-person as well) Academic Collaboration & Outreach Partner with graduate faculty and academic departments to support student research needs Conduct workshops and classroom presentations on statistical methods and research tools (as needed) Promote statistical support services across graduate programs Maintain and enhance the graduate statistics resource website Administrative Duties Submit detailed weekly activity reports and comprehensive end-of-semester assessments Maintain regular communication with the HUB Leadership Document consultations and track student progress Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field Minimum three years of relevant work experience Extensive knowledge of statistical methods such as: Meta-analysis Linear regression T-tests ANOVA Chi-square tests Skills: Technical Proficiency Statistical software expertise (R, SPSS, Jamovi, JASP) Survey tools (Qualtrics) Data analysis and visualization (Excel) Productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) Professional Competencies Strong independent work ethic with ability to collaborate effectively Exceptional organizational and detail-management skills Superior written and verbal communication abilities Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Working Conditions: Flexible schedule with remote as the primary option; on campus as needed. Fully remote workers must reside in California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, or Wisconsin.
