Who We Are
Muslim Food Bank & Community Services Society (MFBCS) is a Canada-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing dignity-driven support through food assistance, education, mental health services, and community empowerment initiatives.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Grant Administrator to support our fundraising and development efforts by identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, and managing grant-related processes. This is a fully remote opportunity to contribute to meaningful community impact while working collaboratively with a mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Grant Research
• Identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding organizations aligned with MFBCS’s mission.
• Review eligibility criteria, funding priorities, and deadlines.
• Maintain and update grant tracking pipelines and opportunity lists.
🔹 Grant Writing & Proposal Development
• Prepare grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and concept notes.
• Develop compelling narratives including organizational background, program goals, outcomes, and impact statements.
• Assist in gathering supporting documents and required materials.
🔹 Application Preparation & Submission
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect program details, budgets, and supporting information.
• Format and prepare applications according to funder guidelines.
• Submit applications through designated portals when authorized.
🔹 Grant Tracking & Follow-Up
• Monitor submission deadlines and application statuses.
• Support responses to funder inquiries and requests for additional information.
• Provide periodic progress updates and maintain organized documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
✔ Experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or fundraising is an asset
✔ Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects independently
✔ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
✔ Passion for community service and nonprofit impact
