About Us & Our Work Culture
30 Birds Foundation Canada works to rebuild pathways for Afghan newcomer women and girls to learn, lead, and live freely. Our community includes extraordinary young Afghan women and emerging leaders across Canada who are building new lives, pursuing education, developing their skills, and stepping into leadership in their schools, workplaces, and communities.
Our work is focused on creating the long-term pathways that make that success possible, from scholarships and education support to leadership development, mentorship, wellness, career readiness. We help create access to training and opportunities for these young women to build the confidence, networks, and resources they need to shape their own futures. We believe deeply in the potential of the young women we work alongside, and in creating the conditions for them to fulfill their potential here in Canada, to thrive, to lead, and to add their talents to the fabric of our national identity.
At our core, we believe that impact is built on strong relationships, intentional strategy, and a supported team. We value autonomy, clear communication, and working together towards shared goals. We respect your time and expertise, and we strive to create an environment where you are set up to thrive without burnout- supporting your ongoing professional growth and prioritizing real work-life balance.
We are entering an exciting phase of organizational growth, and we are looking for a dedicated Grant & Funding Development Specialist to join us. In this role, you won't be expected to do it all alone- you will be the strategic storyteller and researcher backing our team, working side-by-side with our Executive Director who takes the lead on external relational gifts and closing sponsorship opportunities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As our Grant & Funding Development Specialist, you will drive our institutional funding pipeline. You will research, craft, and manage grant proposals, lead grant reporting cycles, and build highly-aligned corporate sponsorship packages that empower our Executive Director to secure transformative funding.
