Today, we partner with rural leaders and allies across the country to share that work and build local partnerships that put young people on a path to economic mobility . Position Summary Reporting to the Project Director, the Grant Impact Manager of GEAR UP Promise Zone will work closely with school district finance personnel, other PRI staff and community partners, to ensure student academic success. This work will include analysis and triangulation of grant financial documents, student services documentation, and grant performance measures. As part of the GEAR UP Leadership Team, the Grant Impact Manager will assist in the communication and delivery of grant services, professional development for school-based staff, data collection, data analysis, and the documentation of services in the grant database. By ensuring mutual accountability of results, the Grant Impact Manager will convene experts and partners to develop a management structure for school-based staff serving GEAR UP Promise Zone. Primary Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Grant & Financial Management : Analyze and p rocess district reimbursements and grant financial documents in accordance with standard operating procedures Manage assigned portions of the GEAR UP federal budget and ensure expenditures are allowable and within the approved scope of work Maintain working knowledge of GEAR UP goals, objectives , requirements, and grant expectations Data, Performance & Continuous Improvement : Monitor student-level data and identify needed adjustments to services and implementation plans based on ongoing analysis Ensure timely collection and analysis of program data and dissemination of results Conduct academic case management audits Analyze and triangulate grant financial documentation, student services documentation, and grant performance measures Use data and performance findings to inform adjustments to GEAR UP services and activities Program Implementation & Student Success : Partner with the Project Director, school staff, and other PRI staff to support student achievement and progress toward GEAR UP goals and objectives Plan and implement adjustments to GEAR UP services and activities based on data and program performance Support the communication, coordination, and delivery of grant-funded services Help ensure grant services and implementation remain aligned with established goals and performance expectations Training, Partnership & School Support : Provide training and professional development to school-based staff and other PRI staff Work closely with school district personnel, community partners, and PRI staff to support effective grant implementation Convene appropriate experts and partners to strengthen coordination, accountability, and support structures for school-based GEAR UP staff Work across the GEAR UP team and PRI to braid services, resources, and program knowledge Team & Organizational Responsibilities : Serve as an active member of the GEAR UP Leadership Team Participate regularly in PRI meetings, trainings, and other required organizational activities Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist and support in the attainment of our mission Position Location & Schedule This position is designated as a hybrid position and is based at Partners for Rural Impact’s (PRI) Office, located in Hazard, KY. Employees are expected to work onsite at the Hazard, KY office on 3 designated in-office days per week and at other times as required to meet business or program needs. Remote work may be performed in accordance with PRI's Hybrid Work Policy and applicable departmental guidelines. The approved hybrid work schedule is established by the department based on operational needs and may not be modified without prior management approval. PRI reserves the right to adjust or discontinue hybrid work arrangements at any time to meet business or program needs. Occasional local, state, and sometimes national travel required . Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET with in-office, hybrid and/or remote work a possibility. Because of the nature of the responsibility to schools, partners, funders, and to the service region, individual offices or departments may have operating hours that extend beyond this period and may include evening and/or weekend hours. Minimum Qualifications Education required to ensure success in this position: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required ; Master’s degree preferred Experience required to ensure success in this position: Minimum of three years of experience working with rural schools and communities Experience with data collection, analysis, and using findings to inform planning and next steps Experience with college access and student success best practices Special skills , knowledge and abilities: Knowledge of Kentucky's educational accountability standards Knowledge of Results Based Accountability Superior interpersonal and organizational skills Capacity to manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines and expectations Demonstrated analytical skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting with a focus on problem solving A commitment to students from diverse economic, social and cultural backgrounds Computer skills including data processing and financial spreadsheets; Microsoft Office, Adobe License, certification, or registration necessary: Must have access to reliable transportation S uccessfully complete pre-employment background check Physical requirements: Ability to work in a high-energy office Ability to accurately communicate and exchange information with partners, stakeholders, and/or meeting participants Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software programs Ability to travel independently by car and plane both locally and nationally Environmental conditions: Work in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities Periodic travel to meetings and events Additional Company Information PRI offers a wide array of benefit options, to meet the financial, educational, and health needs of you and your family.
