Title Graphic Designer (with UX exposure) SUMMARY We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team delivering high-quality visual design for a High Profile Government Department — think campaign materials, publications, presentations, and brand assets used across government and international audiences. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, with room to also flex into UX/digital design occasionally. RESPONSIBILITIES · Design visually compelling assets; presentations, publications, infographics, campaign and promotional materials, for a High Profile Government Department and related stakeholders · Prepare and manage press-ready artwork with print vendors, meeting production and brand standards · Maintain and evolve consistent visual identity and branding across all materials · Design layouts for print and digital assets · Produce multimedia content across platforms, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity · Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for visual and brand elements · Opportunity to contribute to digital/UX projects, wireframes, prototypes, and interface design ESSENTIAL CRITERIA · Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design works. · Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint). · Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout. · Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (at times). · Strong communication and collaboration skills. · Hold a NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance. DESIRABLE CRITERIA · Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices. · Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards. · Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development processes. · Willingness to learn and develop user experience design skills. QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS · A minimum of 4+ years of experience working at a digital agency as a Graphic Designer or UI Designer. · Portfolio of key projects delivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverables responsible and successes achieved. · Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio which demonstrates this ability in various phases of design. · Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. · Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently. · Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects. · A sense of humour!
