Job Description GRC Analyst Working Location: Derby – three days per week on site and two days working from home We have an exciting opportunity for a Governance, Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our central Cyber Security team in Derby. You will help manage cyber security governance, risk and compliance activity across Rolls-Royce, supporting the protection of our people, information, technology and operations. This role offers broad exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our cyber security control environment. Why Rolls-Royce? Rolls-Royce is one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world, and we have a responsibility to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. The Cyber Security team is a central function supporting all areas of Rolls-Royce, helping the organisation understand and manage cyber security risks while maintaining compliance with relevant policies, standards and regulatory requirements. Rolls-Royce believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture. This role will involve working with stakeholders across the organisation to assess cyber security risks, monitor compliance and support the effective implementation of security policies and controls. What we offer We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts. Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It is a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum, we are all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: Review and triage newly logged risks, ensuring clear descriptions, accurate assessments (current/target), defined ownership, and actionable remediation plans. Conduct risk assessments across IT systems, engineering programmes, and operations to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and control gaps, with recommended mitigations. Support structured reporting on risk posture, compliance, audit outcomes, and remediation progress to enable informed decision-making. Maintain and update risk registers, ensuring alignment with enterprise frameworks and accurate tracking of ownership, impact, likelihood, and treatments. Embed regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, ITAR/EAR, DFARS, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIS2) into processes and controls in collaboration with Group teams. Perform control testing to assess design and effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities. Support audits and accreditation (e.g., RMF, ATO) through evidence coordination, control validation, and remediation tracking. Who we’re looking for At Rolls-Royce, we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles. To be successful in this role you will need to: Hold an IT, cyber security or related degree, or demonstrate equivalent capability through relevant professional experience. Have experience within governance, risk, compliance, information security, cyber security assurance or a related discipline. Understand cyber security risk management, security controls and recognised frameworks or standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or equivalent. Demonstrate strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain risks and requirements clearly. Ideally hold, or be working towards, a relevant professional qualification such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. Our vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. Our multi-year transformation programme aims to turn Rolls-Royce into a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing company. Join us, and it can be your future vision too. Rolls-Royce is committed to being a respectful, inclusive and non-discriminatory workplace where individuality is valued, diverse perspectives fuel innovation, and everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from people with a refugee background. You can learn more about our global Inclusion strategy at Our people | Rolls-Royce. As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role. If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided. Job Category Information Technology Posting Date 27 Jul 2026; 00:07 Posting End Date 09 Aug 2026
